David Harber
David Harber Ltd seeks to design and make original and covetable sculptures, sundials and water features that will enchant and endure, whilst responding to our customers’ individual needs and environments. All of our pieces are designed to create lasting impressions that will surprise and delight, whilst being made specifically to work for their setting and those who will enjoy them every day. We have twice been awarded the Queen’s Award for International Trade, and our sculptures can be found across all corners of the globe, from Dubai, Bahrain and Singapore to the US, Australia, and homegrown institutions such as Oxford and Cambridge Universities, and prestigious school such as Eton and Stowe.
To us, being a British brand speaks luxury; one need only look to the brands of our heritage – Rolls Royce, Harrods, Ercol, Liberty – to know that British design unequivocally means elegance. We pride ourselves on the excellence of our British manufacture, with all products exquisitely crafted by hand by the expert team we have built on site at our rural Oxfordshire workshop. British design is so commonly associated with craftmanship and quality, and we achieve this by marrying traditional techniques with innovative methods to produce products that last, and become future heirlooms for their owners. Our aim is to make our customers feel proud and delighted to own a David Harber design, and it is with this goal in mind that all of our pieces are created on a commission basis, with personalised options available as well as bespoke designs for the most discerning of customer.
The current market is an uncertain one for us all, with the events of 2020 overshadowing Brexit the previous year, but we remain confident. We may be a British brand but our business is global, and in fact, our European market – in particular, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain – is growing steadily year-on-year. This tells us that despite the impact Brexit could have on our European business there is still very much a market for British-designed products, and our intention remains the same – to produce the best quality pieces, from the finest materials, that we know our customers are looking for, be they in the UK, Europe, or further afield.
