Gilly Nicolson, established for over 10 years, supplies luxurious customised bedlinen, bedding and towels, direct to consumer and trade.

All bedlinen is made to order in our artisan mills in Portugal where Gilly has spent years overseeing the production of our quality products. Each piece, made slowly, has been scrupulously analysed to ensure it not only looks beautiful, but it also made to last. Towels are manufactured in Portugal and like bedlinen, can be customised or made to order. Pillows and duvets are handmade here in the UK using fully traceable feather and down from Europe.

We have an acclaimed and unrivalled Colour Library which holds a vast array of different sheeting colours and qualities, as well as hundreds of trims and cording colours. A personalised ‘Stylist Service’ means clients can send fabric or wallpaper samples for colour-matching, or that the Gilly Nicolson team will source alternative trims to find the perfect solution.

Over the past few years, the business has firmly established itself as a reliable supplier to the luxury property market in the UK and overseas. We have developed an excellent reputation for our personalised and helpful ordering process, timely deliveries and outstanding quality. We’ve built up strong relationships with other trade suppliers, often finding we’re being recommended by furniture makers and from one interior designer to another.

More recently, our business has started producing bedlinen under white label for other well-known luxury interior brands in the UK, reinforcing the demand for British suppliers to the luxury market who can offer a local and personalised service.

Brexit will impact our importing from Portugal but we feel confident any disruption will be short-lived. Indeed, we are looking to import even more from the country and have subsequently established an office there so our supply chain remains efficient.

We’re a lean and well-organised business and have learned quickly about adapting to new circumstances during Covid-19. I think one of the most important things you can do is talk to your customers – explain to them what might happen in the short run and make sure your plans are in place.
