Introducing LPF Sustainability Ambassador - Will Bouma, We Are Prime Ltd

The Luxury Property Forum is proud to introduce Will Bouma, Co Founder of We Are Prime Ltd as The LPF Sustainability Ambassador!

Will Bouma will be working with us to ensure that The LPF are working to be as sustainable as possible and that we continue to strive to make progress in the right direction to build a better future for the luxury property industry. He will also be liaising directly with LPF Members who aspire to be more sustainable, but need some guidance.

Will Bouma, Co Founder of We Are Prime Ltd and LPF Sustainability Ambassador sayS:

“Ever since learning about the Earth Summit in Rio in 1992, I have had an interest in environmental issues. This led me to a degree in Environmental Studies, and a constant desire to look at how the companies I have worked for have address their environmental performance. With Livewire I helped offset projects through a number of initiatives based on carbon offsetting through investment in projects in Africa. I knew I wanted to improve Weldon’s environmental performance, but my issue was that I didn’t know where to start. I was aware Ideaworks had their ‘Doing The Right Thing’ initiative, and this led to a conversation with Chris Jones on a coach to Geneva after the HQR ski trip, and PRIME was born.  A space where people like myself, who had the ‘why’ but not the ‘how’, could come together and share ideas and help each other to simply be better in sustainable business. We are a social enterprise, not-for-profit, and with a genuine aim to just help people be better.

In the last two years, we have developed the idea further and I am delighted to now take up the role of Sustainability Ambassador for the LPF. We really believe that the opportunity to work with the impressive list of members Priya Rawal and her team have built gives us broad access to a number of businesses who work in the same sector, so we can spread the word and look to help others measure their performance. We have already had great feedback from companies we have been working with, such as Walton Wagner and the Slender Winter Partnership, who have witnessed the impact of PRIME on their businesses already.

The issue of sustainability and responsible business is only going to become more important. It is our hope that we can work closely with a number of key businesses to help improve the overall attitude to sustainability in the luxury construction sector, and begin to make a real impact in helping create a better future for everyone.”

Priya Rawal, Founder and CEO of The Luxury Property Forum says:

“The Luxury Property Forum has a mission to promote, represent and educate our members and develop the industry for the better. So many LPF members want to be more sustainable but do not know where start. The task is often overwhelming and gets taken over by the day to day activities and concerns of running super-prime businesses. We are very privileged to have the expertise and guidance of Will. His passion for and commitment to sustainability is admirable and inspiring and we cannot wait to strat working with him and be an active member of PRIME. Together we have a chance to share ideas on how to build better and be better and genuinely make a difference across the luxury property sector.”
