Why do you think it is important to celebrate International Women’s Day?
Whilst we have made strides, International Women’s Day reminds us how important it is that we, as women, must continue to empower other women to succeed on equal footing.
Taking the opportunity to reflect, IWD encourages us all to highlight the incredible achievements that women have accomplished. It’s so important to celebrate our uniqueness as individuals and recognise our own strengths, style and abilities. We need to lead by example, teaching younger generations that you need to work harder and smarter to forge your own. With hard work, we can break through barriers, surpass expectations and be recognised for the strong, resilient individuals that we are.
It really is about supporting each other and lifting each other up…together we will burn brighter.
Is there another woman on whom you would like to shine a light, in the luxury property industry and why?
Pardon the pun, but we’d like to shine the light on the inspirational Sally Storey, Creative Director of John Cullen Lighting. Sally is a true visionary with a deep belief to inspire through the power of light. As a leading expert in the field, her infinite knowledge of lighting design and ability to elevate and transform any interior is legendary.
What is the best advice you have been given?
Life is short…buy the shoes, drink the wine and order the dessert.
At The Luxury Property Forum we truly believe in “you cannot be what you cannot see”.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, throughout March we are shining a light on our wonderfully inspiring female members who are all leaders in luxury property.
