Start Spreading the News: LANSERRING Launches in New York!
LPF Members, LANSERRING is delighted to announce the opening of its first US showroom in New York City. The new ‘LANSERRING Gallery’, located at 1-3 Crosby Street in Soho, will help them meet a growing demand for their bespokekitchen and dressing room design services in the US market. LANSERRING’s ultra luxe products must be touched, interacted with, and experienced to be fully appreciated, so they hope that their new second home will become a destination for their friends, colleagues and clients in the city.
“With the success of our brand in London, we see New York as a sibling city leading the worlds of design and culture. It attracts residents who seek out fine design and expert craftsmanship: values that sit at the heart of our brand,” says Bernd Radaschitz, CEO of LANSERRING. “New York is also home to many top interior designers and architects, professions with which we have a successful history of partnership and collaboration on prestigious projects. Soho is the center of innovative design brands with a rich heritage in architecture and luxury retail, a neighbourhood that will enhance the experience we want to create in our new show space.”
The Robing Hall
The 1,580 square-foot space is the latest bespoke creation from LANSERRING's master craftspeople and specialised design team, led by Creative Director Alex Beaugeard. Upon exiting the elevator, a guest will step into an enclosed, moody space. This is a LANSERRING Dressing Room: the first open to clients to experience for themselves. In classic holistic style, LANSERRING has managed the relationship to every sense. An intensely scrutinised lighting system creates a soothing experience of fabric, timber and crystal.
The principle wall of the dressing area reads like a fashion boutique where the glazed presentation area is uninterrupted behind glass doors. This principle of fluidity is expressed as the shelving permeates through the full volume. The crystal doors are constructed with a sheer mesh enclosed between two pieces of glass. As the lighting in the dressing room is controlled, these become transparent or opaque, hiding or revealing the contents inside.
At the back of the space, a custom reeded oak wall showcases the precision and finesse of LANSERRING’s team of master craftspeople. Drawing on a century of brand heritage, their Austrian workshop operates at the intersection of traditional craft and precision engineering technology. Precision joinery conceals secret doors to the restroom and staff kitchen within the traditional reeding. A sense of cocoon-like sanctuary is created by the completeness of the work.
The New York LANSERRING Gallery
As the guest steps from the Dressing Room into the principle show space, they are met with a significant change of atmosphere. Their Gallery Kitchen is flooded with glorious light, and the air is crisp like a new morning. This is their interpretation of a contemporary New York loft space: luxury and tranquility for a modern family.
The Crystal Island
Like a whiskey stone in a glass of cognac, the crystal island features a ribbon of glass and gold doors encasing a cube of marble. This is a world-class piece of furniture, expressing LANSERRING’s utterly unique ability to integrate exceptional and disparate luxury materials. This result is made possible by the cross-specialist capabilities of LANSERRING’s state-of-the-art workshops. LANSERRING have master metal, timber, stone and glass artisans in-house, meaning they can produce exquisitely crafted custom joinery.
The Floating Wine Cabinet and Serving Cube
The consumption of wine is, at its best, a celebratory and social occasion and its storage has become a cornerstone of exceptional entertaining spaces. The LANSERRING Wine Display, complete with matching presentation table, presents the wine behind protective glass panels allowing the bottles to take centre stage. The presentation island appears to be crafted from a solid marble block, flanked with timber panels; however, these panels hinge open, creating elegant storage for glasses. This installation was a particular joy for their craftspeople to create, as the LANSERRING workshop is surrounded by beloved vineyards.
The Marble Skillet
The hob area is an exploration of the relationship between the fitted furniture and the architecture. The gas burners are mounted directly onto the marble top, creating an integrated, seamless finish. A narrow marble clad shelf that runs behind the hob for marble work provides a display space for beautiful preparation tools or objets d’art on either side of the burners. The storage and worktop at waist height is constructed from solid marble, allowing the eyes to indulge in its dramatic natural veining.
The Pickling Cabinet
In response to a developing client interest in traditional food preparation and an understanding of ingredient provenance, they have designed a pickling cabinet for their show space. Demonstrating their aptitude for designing to a unique bespoke brief, the hand-oiled oak and patinated brass installation has been designed with the pickling process in mind and includes custom storage and displays for tools and produce. Crucial to the fermentation process is time, which speaks to LANSERRING design values of timelessness and heritage.
