Founding Member Interview: In Conversation with Shona Patel, Founder of SP3 London
1.) Welcome to The Luxury Property Forum! How would you describe SP3 London to those who have never heard of it?
SP3 London are a design delivery business. We can do everything from the design to the project management on and off site as well as the final FF&E procurement and installation. We are a multi-disciplinary firm.
2.) How long has SP3 London been in business?
3 years.

3.) Can you tell us a little about your career before SP3 London?
I trained as an architect and then went into high end interiors. I worked for a prestigious property developer in Mayfair where I designed, project managed and procured FF&E for alot of fantastic properties (mainly listed). I have been in high end resi for 15 years now. I moved to Dubai for a couple of years in between and delivered a luxury 30,000sq ft villa out there for a client. Upon my return I was part of the set-up of a luxury interior design house for 7 years where I was the Partner in charge of delivery. I then set up SP3 London 3 years ago.
4.) What prompted you to launch SP3 London and how does it feel to be realising your vision?
Seemed like the natural thing to do following my previous roles and positions. Also there was a niche in the market to offer what we do, we focus on delivery of design not just the conceptual design.
5.) For those seeking SP3 London's services, can you tell us about the process, from the initial consultation to the end result?
There a few steps:
Meet the client and illustrate what we offer and where we can add value.
Manage and coordinate consultant selection and getting the right team on board.
Coordinate with the design team.
Manage this process for the client.
We are the client point person so the ‘Go to’ on anything related to the project.
Work with the contractor and supply chain on site.
Oversee the works and resolve issues.
Carry out the FF&E specification and procurement, and manage the final installation through to handover.
6.) Can you give us an example of a client project you've worked on where a full turnkey solution was fulfilled?
Yes, Project Barca in Knightsbridge.

7.) Can you tell us about your post completion services?
We are always on hand if there are any issues and the client can always contact us to get things sorted. We never really stop working on any of our projects. We are in contact with all our clients even if the project finished 2 years ago.
8.) You have a beautiful portfolio! Are there any projects you've worked on that are particularly memorable?
Barca and Adams, both very fulfilling in different ways.
9.) How would you summarise SP3 London in just three words?
