The world is no stranger to the harmful effects of climate change and whilst it has taken some time, HNWIs are now looking toward a more sustainable way of living. The property and construction industry as whole, has had to address the impact it has on the environment and it appears that global luxury property industry, is now taking real steps in the right direction. Forward thinking developers are making intelligent use of planning, land orientation and renewable building materials. There has been an increase on site in ensuring that we are reducing unnecessary waste, sourcing materials ethically and responsibly and ensuring the smart home, lighting and electrical engineering systems are energy saving. But what is the driving factor - is it doing what is best for the environment, or is it cost and time? And how invested are HNWIs in the fight against climate change? We all have a part to play across the industry, and much more needs to be done.
