Celebrating a Partnership of Heritage and Excellence: The LPF and The Oriental Club

The Luxury Property Forum is delighted to celebrate its long-standing partnership with The Oriental Club, a relationship that exemplifies a shared commitment to excellence, heritage, and innovation. As The Oriental Club marks its Bicentenary in 2024, we reflect on the mutual values and collaborative spirit that have defined our partnership. A heritage club which embraces the tradition and present with its culture, food and beverage and a beautiful refurbishment of their iconic dining room.

A Storied Past and a Bright Future

Founded in 1824, The Oriental Club has long been a bastion of tradition and elegance, providing a distinguished space for its members. This year, the Club celebrates 200 years of heritage, showcasing its ability to adapt and thrive in modern times while retaining its historical charm. Located in Stratford House in the West End, the Club merges historical elegance with contemporary sophistication, offering its members a unique blend of past and present.

Culinary Excellence and Innovation

A significant highlight of the Bicentenary celebrations is the re-launch of the Club’s Dining Room, meticulously redesigned by Russell Sage Studio. This refurbishment embodies the Club’s dedication to blending tradition with modernity, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and sophisticated. Russell Sage Studio expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “To contribute to the Oriental Club in its 200th year is a very special commission. We were pleased to be able to give the Club a day-round Dining Room fit for all occasions, which celebrates the Oriental Club’s beating heart.” The new Dining Room, with its semi-circular banquettes, bespoke wallpaper, stunning new carpet, and evocative lighting, has been hailed as a triumph by members and guests alike.

The centerpiece of this evolution is the introduction of a new menu that reimagines classic dishes from both the East and the West. Under the leadership of Head Chef Arkadiusz Forystek, the menu offers a culinary journey through diverse landscapes, featuring dishes such as Keralan Prawn Curry, Old Delhi Style Chicken Makhani, and Hereford Beef Fillet with Spinach. Chef Forystek brings a wealth of experience from prestigious establishments like The Goring Hotel and Fortnum & Mason, ensuring that the Club’s culinary offerings are nothing short of exceptional.

A Heritage of Wine Excellence

Complementing its culinary transformation, The Oriental Club also boasts an impressive Wine Cellar and an active Wine Society. To commemorate its Bicentenary, the Club has introduced a special edition wine, the Jaffelin Auxey-Duresses 2017, carefully selected by the Club Secretary. This addition highlights the Club’s commitment to offering its members the finest wine experiences, curated by their wine specialist, Elena Barattini.

Shared Values and Collaborative Spirit

The partnership between TLPF and The Oriental Club is built on a foundation of shared values and a dedication to providing exceptional experiences. Both organizations value heritage, quality, and the importance of creating spaces that foster community and innovation. This collaboration has allowed us to host numerous events, providing our members with opportunities to connect, learn, and grow within an environment that epitomizes luxury and sophistication.

As we celebrate The Oriental Club’s Bicentenary, we look forward to continuing this fruitful partnership, exploring new opportunities for collaboration, and ensuring that our members enjoy the very best in luxury and excellence. Here’s to another 200 years of shared success and continued innovation.
